Why we go red in the face




Blushing is a simple physiological process, involving a rush of
blood to the face and neck, and only humans do it. Adrenalin makes the tiny blood vessels dilate; so more blood gets to the skin, and this extra blood shows through the skin as pink cheeks, neck and ears.
