Manchester United

I dun think I've ever written an entry about them United. They drew Everton last night, conceding 2 goals in the last 10 minutes of the match. As much as I tried to be all positive about the draw, the frustration is eating me up inside. I hate Manchester United. I hate when I get my hopes up so high only to see it crash 30 minutes later.

Really Crappy Writing

It sucks to be in bed for most of the past two days. Fever come and go as it pleases and now that it's almost gone, the stomach is starting to feel just a little bit queasy. One thing I like about being sick though is the fact that Mama treats me like I'm still seven. The wet towel over my face, the constant reminder to take my meds and her asking me how I'm feeling. I can't help but feel loved.

On a totally separate note, that weird feeling is back again. It's the feeling that never fail to make me smile, shake my head and whisper to myself, "I must be crazy." I have no idea what the outcome of this story nor do I intend to take steps to have a rough idea of where it's heading. I shall be patient and hopes that whatever happens is for the best.

Work resumes tomorrow. I can't wait for this weekend to come. Hoping that the 2D1N trip to KL will help take my mind of army, work and anything else in between. Gonna indulge in loads of good food - I've got eyes on Secret Recipes' cakes!!

Anyways, as I type away, I realize that this entry is being written in such a crappy manner that I don't feel like publishing it at all! 3 weeks of green, sun, rain and sand have successfully sucked the creative juice out of me!! Oh wells, it happens to all writers. I just hope that in time, my words will start to flow as freely as it used to be.

Till next time, SMILE. Take time to look at what's around you. Be inspired.

To err is .... I don't know

While taking long walks, moods may change.

I'm still up - doing my tutorials. I dozed off, while sitting down, for like a good 15 minutes. I've still got a few more questions to go and I've still got it in me to remain awake. I needed to write.

I've been keying in thoughts into my phone during my "break" from writing, all in the hopes of looking back and writing all of them down on the 5th of May. There's one that I keyed in around an hour ago and it's been bothering me.

I wrote:

Relations with people are hard to maintain. Today, I realize that people drift further apart the longer they remain apart. Feelings DO NOT remain the same. Absence DO NOT make the heart grow fonder. This, is contrary to what I've believed all this while. Maintaining relations with others is a skill - a skill that I'm still learning.

There's a stubborn unreasonable streak within me that I can't seem to get rid of. The special preferences, the double standards, the exceptions. And the selfish me that wonders why he always seem to be pleasing others and never the other way round, or why he has to always be understanding and accepting one. Why can't others try to understand him for a change? Unreasonable me, I know.

In rare moments when any of the above tendencies reveal itself, I'll always have some caring honest souls to slap me in the face and tell me that my behaviour was truly unacceptable. Sighs. This dark side of mine has been following me ever since my JC days. Will I ever be rid of it? I don't know. I really don't.

To err is human. But to err sucks big time. It's one of those nights when reflections simply go round and round in dizzying circles. I needed to write these down rather than let it loop in my mind.

The conclusion of this lengthy ramble?

I don't know.

The Moon

I wonder what's wrong with guys being nice to other guys.

Bromance? Man-love? Oh cmon! Are guys supposed to be all nice and lovely ONLY to girls while girls are always nice and lovely to their girl friends? Are we supposed to be manly and macho and whatever else that a guy must be? Are we supposed to be vulgar and angsty and spit on the floor and dig our noses and burp out loud and hate it when people "Become a fan of" something on Facebook? (Ok maybe not the "Become a fan of" part... haha. Main-main je.)

I think if a guy can do so much for his other guy friends, he'll do much much more for a girl. To quote from The Kite Runner, "For you, a thousand times over." And to quote a dreamer, "If the moon is what she wants, then the moon is what she'll get."

Cut me some slack. I've got exams to ace.

He tries. It's darn hard, he knows. He knows that to ace is asking for too much. But he tries.

Planning nerves

Registration of courses for Semester 2 is on the 21st of December 2009. Examination results will be released at the end of December. Results of the electives application will be on the 8th of January 2010.

Right now, on the 9th of December 2009, I am planning my timetable for the registration on the 21st - under the assumption that I will pass all my papers AND not forgetting the hopes of getting my desired electives. So in the event that i pass all my papers AND get my desired electives, all is fine. But what if I dont?

What if i fail a couple of papers? What if I dont get my desired electives? What if I were to fail a couple of papers AND not get my desired electives? ... Does anyone else hate the system?

I think it would be better if us students could receive our results first, and then register for our courses. At least it will eliminate the "If I were to fail a couple of papers" aspect of the equation.

It's starting to get on my nerves...

Boring Evening Dreaming

I think I'm bored. I think I'm slowly falling back into the realm of introverts. I'm starting to talk to myself - mentally. And while some self-thought can be a good thing, too much can be ... too much.

Before I went for my run this evening, I was writing the following:

Dear World,

I think I'm bored. I want to stay at home, yet I don't seem to want to. It's turning into a routine - morning runs, evening runs and tv. Ive just ran out of Lie To Me episodes to watch - analyzing people through their actions, inactions and micro-expressions.

I then resumed watching season 2 of The Mentalist, only to see Patrick Jane taken off from the Red John case and.....

I knew I had to end it there. I do not like to entertain neverending thoughts. So I left it hanging and went for a run.

However, the run turned into several short sprints and kilometers of walking. I was looking at cars and people and the evening sky. I saw a little boy learning how to walk, a lady talking on the phone, people waiting for the bus at the bus stop. I was reading signboards, bus numbers, block numbers, car plate numbers. I began to wonder what time it was. I looked over at the clock at the train station and it was almost a quarter to seven. I was twenty minutes behind time. I should've been home. I should've been sweating. But I wasnt. I was evening-dreaming.

Wisdom might not be a wise thing to wish for...

I had asked for wisdom when i turned 21 but i never thought it would come in the form of a tooth. Boy it sure does hurt. Finally explains why my head's been feeling some pain this past few days.

Yes ive been doing school work but im definitely sure it wasnt the cause of it. Heard that plucking it out would cause severe pain and headaches and swelling and even complications if the dentist isnt skilled. So now would definitely not be the right time to do remove it. There's oral presentation in 2 weeks and i sure cant afford to screw that up. But not removing it will affect the way i talk too.

And looking at forums on the extraction of wisdom tooth, prices seem to range from $500-700 per tooth. And that's a little bit crazy. Should've removed mine while i was still in the army but that's long gone.

Well i hope I'll be able to sleep away the pain.... till the exams are over.

The timing is just so so wrong.... ouch!
